no tahini hummus

  • 1 14oz can chickpeas, drained
    • 1 big lime (or lemon)
    • 2 tsp ground cumin
    • 4 garlic cloves
    • 13 cup olive oil
    • 1-2 tbsp peanut butter

Peel the garlic, blend it in a food processor to chop it up a bit. Zest and juice the lime, then add that to the food processor and blend to make sure the garlic is fairly well minced.

Add the chickpeas and blend to start breaking them up, then add about half the oil, the peanut butter and the cumin and keep blending. Keep blending and adding more oil until you like the consistency.

It’d probably be better with lemon instead of lime, and maybe some green onion, parsley or chives added, but I didn’t have any of those, so lime it is.
